Snow and Ice Warnings for Loughrea and Surrounding Areas

Met Éireann has issued an updated Status Orange – Snow-Ice Warning for Galway and several other counties, with an Orange-level warning in place for some regions. A Status Yellow – Low Temperature/Ice Warning is also in effect.

The warnings are valid from midnight (or 0:00 on Thursday, 21st November), until 12 PM on Thursday, 21st November. Snowfall and icy conditions are expected, leading to freezing temperatures that could cause hazardous travel conditions across the affected areas.

We urge everyone in Loughrea and nearby areas to take extra care. If you’re travelling, allow additional time for your journey, and remember to switch on your vehicle lights. Those walking should wear high-visibility jackets, especially in low-light conditions.
