Santa to switch on Loughrea Christmas lights

5 PM on Saturday, 20 November Santa will switch on the Christmas lights here in Loughrea (on Main Street, between Charlie’s Bar Loughrea and Billy’s Discount Store). This years lights, with huge thanks to the Loughrea Community Lights committee, will include:

– Main Street, Dunkellin Street & Bride Street
– Barrack Street opposite St Brendan’s Cathedral
– 10m tree on the Fair Green
– Lakeside lights from the boat house to Loughrea Tennis Club
– Swan motifs on lamp posts on Gort Road
– Motifs from Caherlavine roundabout inward
– Motifs from Fairfield roundabout inward

Loughrea Christmas Market at Charlie’s Bar Loughrea from 12 – 7 pm, with 20+ traders, listen out for buskers and/or tune into Loughrea Community Radio who will broadcast live from Charlie’s 10 am-5.30 pm.
