Notice is hereby given that Galway County Council has made an order closing L-8278 Pigott’s Street and L-8280 Moore Street from junction with Bohercom to junction with Main Street from 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday 07/01/2025 to 5:00 p.m. on Friday 10/01/2025 to facilitate a new water and sewer connection.

Please Note: Streets closed individually not at the same time

Alternative Routes:

For Moore Street closure – Traffic will use Barrack Street (L4228) and Church Street (L8277) to access Main Street (R942)

Bohercom (L8279) will travel the opposite direction down Moore Street (R351) to Cross Street/Barrack Street Roundabout and follow the relevant signs

For Piggott Street closure – Use Main Street (R942) and Castle Street (L8274) for access to Barrack Street (L4228)
