More than 2,000 ESB customers in Loughrea are without power

2,444 houses and businesses in Loughrea town are currently without electricity following a number of faults.

The fault began at about 6.46 pm and power is expected to be restored at 10.33 pm. However, a further fault, affecting 144 customers in the St. Laurences Fields area of the town, is expected to be restored around 11.30pm.

ESB has apologised for the loss of supply, telling customers: ‘We are currently working to repair a fault affecting your premises and will restore power as quickly as possible.’
