Mary Barrett nominated female Connacht Masters Athlete of the Year 2021

Loughrea’s Mary Barrett is amongst five female athletes nominated for the Connacht Masters Athlete of the Year 2021 (female).

Mary Barret is a former Irish senior international athlete who still holds the Connacht Heptathlon record and is a multiple international medal winning Masters athlete. Barret also holds the position of Vice Chair of the Connacht Athletic Council.

The nominees are:

Karen Quirke (Galway City Harriers)
Linda Nally (Galway City Harriers)
Mari Johnston
Mary Barrett (Loughrea)

The winner will be announced at the Connacht Athletics online Awards night coming soon.
