Loughrea’s Go Purple Day Coffee Morning
A Go Purple Day Coffee Morning is scheduled to take place at Loughrea Family & Resource Centre on Friday, 3 May from 11am. Go Purple Day annual campaign raises awareness of domestic abuse and the local domestic abuse support services that are available. Join Loughrea Gardai, Loughrea FRC, local groups and community members on the morning.
Some things you can do to join in:
There are any number of things you can do, or ask people to do, to Go Purple. Here are just some ideas to get involved.
· Wear purple
o This is probably the easiest thing to do. You could take photographs and publish it on your social media
o Paint your nails purple
o Use temporary wash out purple hair spray
· Decorate your premises with purple
o Use purple balloons, bunting, or lights.
o Publish purple on social media
o Share the Go Purple Day poster on your groups/businesses social media
o Share the contact information for local Garda Station, COPE Galway and Men’s Aid Ireland
· Bake purple
o Bake buns/cakes/treats with purple icing
