Loughrea’s Darragh Fahy Wins Gold in U18 Triple Jump
The 123.ie National Juvenile Championships continued to showcase the best young athletic talent in Ireland on Day 2 at Tullamore on Saturday, 21 July. Among the day’s highlights was the U18 B Triple Jump, where Darragh Fahy from Loughrea Athletic Club secured a mighty victory.
Darragh Fahy delivered a fine performance, clinching the gold medal with a remarkable jump of 13.43 meters. This jump not only earned him the top spot on the podium but also marked a new season best for the young athlete. Fahy’s victory in Tullamore adds to his impressive streak of wins this year, as he has taken gold in every Triple Jump competition he has participated in.
Jamie Kennedy of Tír Chonaill Athletic Club claimed the silver medal with a commendable jump of 13.05 meters. Meanwhile, Harry Nelson from Lagan Valley Athletic Club took home the bronze, achieving a jump of 12.54 meters.
