Loughrea Triathlon clinches ‘Race of the Year 2023′ title
Predator Triathlon Club are delighted to announce that Loughrea Triathlon won the prestigious ‘Race of the Year’ award at the Triathlon Ireland 2023 Awards. The accolade was presented during a ceremony held at the Calton Hotel, Blanchardstown, on the evening of Saturday, 11th November.
This momentous achievement stands as a testament to the dedication and hard work of the Predator Triathlon Club athletes, coaches, and the entire Loughrea Triathlon community. Predator Triathlon Club’s commitment to excellence has once again been recognised, and they couldn’t be prouder of their team.
Not only did they clinch the ‘Race of the Year’ award, but the night was filled with numerous other outstanding performances:
Predator Triathlon Club also received a trophy and medals for their Junior Mixed Relay teams, securing 1st and 2nd place in the Mixed Relay event at Lough Cutra in May. These incredible teams were composed of talented athletes including Mathys Bocquet, Amelie Bocquet, Anthony Boyle, Claudia McGuinness, Robert Donnelly, Grainne McGrath, Alan Haugh, and Orla Mahon. Additionally, Emma Boyle had a very successful year finishing 3rd in National Duathlon Series. She also won age group gold National Sprint Distance Triathlon and age group bronze in Standard Distance Triathlon Nationals. Ralf Bodamer won the Standard Distance Championships, another impressive accomplishment from the night .
