Loughrea Sports & Community Development Rally Calls on Local Sports and Recreation Clubs

The Loughrea Sports & Community Development Group (LSCDG) is rallying all sports and recreation clubs in the Loughrea area for a critical community rally on Sunday, 29th September at 10am, meeting at Weavers Car Park, Main Street.

LSCDG are calling on everyone in the community – children, parents, grandparents, and club members, to come together for a rally in support of the proposed Loughrea Sports & Community Facility. This rally is the final push to demonstrate to policymakers that our town deserves a modern, accessible sports and community space.

Currently, Loughrea’s sports clubs face daily challenges due to the lack of proper facilities, making training difficult and hosting home games nearly impossible. The Loughrea community need the support of our local and national representatives to secure the necessary funding and resources to make this long-awaited facility a reality.

LSCDG are encouraging all clubs to show up in their team colours, bring along flags, bunting, and any sports props to make a strong visual impact, to ensure that our elected officials understand the urgency and importance of this facility for both current and future generations.
