Loughrea Community Radio awarded third license by Coimisiún na Meán

LCRfm 102.9, serving Loughrea and nearby areas, has been granted a third 100-day FM license by Coimisiún na Meán, acknowledging the station’s significant community contributions over the past four years. This renewal highlights the dedication and passion of LCRfm’s volunteers, who provide engaging and enriching programming. The new license, effective today, allows broadcasting on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am on 102.9 FM, while continuing online streams and additional weekday evening shows. LCRfm also offers a “Listen Back” service for global access to past shows. The license renewal coincides with their celebration of National Community Radio Day, underscoring the station’s role as a vital community resource.
