Irish Water announce potential disruptions to supply

Irish Water, working in partnership with Galway County Council, announced that essential repair works are scheduled to take place on Friday 3 December to safeguard the water supply for homes and businesses in Loughrea. The essential repair works are scheduled to take place on Friday 3 December between 8am and 5pm on Athenry Road, Loughrea.

There may be some disruption to traffic:
‘To facilitate the safe delivery of the works, some traffic management will be in place including a stop/go traffic light system at the Westbridge junction. Local and emergency access will be maintained at all times.’

Speaking about the works, Ronan Daly, Irish Water said,

We understand that this type of work can be inconvenient and working in partnership with Galway County Council we will make every effort to minimise any disruption that these necessary works may cause. The delivery of leak repairs and maintenance is an essential part of what we do in order to safeguard the water supply to homes and businesses and ensure a safer, more sustainable water supply now and into the future.
