By Galway Heritage during National Heritage Week…’In the first part of three related topics, the great Loughrea hurling side of 1911 will be discussed with the evolution of GAA in the county over the next decade to independence culminating in the county’s first All-Ireland hurling title of 1923. A limited edition charity booklet on the three great county winning Loughrea sides [€10] has also been produced with the full proceeds going to Loughrea FRC.’
