An RÁS Tailteann coming to Loughrea

Ireland’s international cycling race, RÁS Tailteann, is coming to Loughrea this June 2022. The Rás is making a welcome return as the number one elite cycling event for men, following its postponement in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid 19 pandemic.

This years five day race will see the race pass through the towns and villages of Gort, Kilchreest, Loughrea, Kilreekil and Ballinasloe on Saturday, 18 June.

There is great excitement in the local cycling club, Seven Springs CC, for the first time in the club’s history they are entering a team. Seven Springs Cycling Club are representing Connacht with pride alongside Galway Bay CC and Castlebar CC.
