Loughrea Community Radio seeks community help to sustain broadcasts
Loughrea Community Radio, a self-funded organisation, relies on public donations and show sponsorships to cover its growing operational costs. The station is proud to serve the local community but is heavily dependent on the ongoing support of sponsors, volunteers, and listeners to keep the station on air. All presenters at Loughrea Community Radio donate their time to produce shows and manage the station.
Every year, it costs over €16,000 to maintain both the studio and the equipment necessary for outdoor broadcasts. To ensure the continued success and sustainability of the station, Loughrea Community Radio is inviting the public to contribute and help preserve this vital community resource.
The station will be present at the Loughrea Christmas Market on Saturday, 23rd November, at Charlie’s Bar, Main Street, Loughrea. Attendees are encouraged to make a donation, whether it’s €2, €5, or €10, to support the station’s future operations.
For those unable to attend, donations can also be made online at LCRFM Donation Page.
Loughrea Community Radio expresses its deep appreciation for the continued support from listeners, sponsors, and volunteers. The station is committed to providing quality programming and remains dedicated to serving the community for years to come.
