CASA Loughrea’s November Social: A Festive Blend of Joy and Community Spirit

On Sunday, 12 November, the Loughrea Family Resource Centre transformed into a hub of festive cheer as CASA Loughrea members came together for a delightful pre-Christmas celebration.

Indoors, the festive spirit was in full swing as CASA members engaged in a variety of creative activities. A unique Christmas tree was made from books, while the cozy atmosphere fueled conversations over tea and sandwiches. The celebration also showcased the artistic talents of the Transition Year students and CASA volunteers from St. Raphael’s College, who dedicated their time to design Christmas cards for CASA Loughrea members to decorate. The celebration didn’t stop there—birthday wishes were shared, and laughter echoed through the center as members danced to lively tunes.

Outdoors, CASA Loughrea members joined forces with the Loughrea Community Lights team to install festive lights along the railings near the center. Anticipation filled the air as they imagined the enchanting display that will illuminate the town when the Loughrea Christmas Lights are switched on come 25th of November.

The CASA Loughrea team extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this special day. Special appreciation goes to the students from St. Raphael’s College and Tierney for setting the perfect musical backdrop as the DJ of the day.
