St Brigid’s College Junior Girls race to Connacht Schools Cross Country victory

With four seasons in one day at the Irish Life Health Connacht Schools Cross Country on Sunday, 6 February, it was not for the faint of heart. Despite the challenging conditions at Loughrea Athletic Club’s home grounds, at Bushfield, Loughrea, the Junior Girls team from St Brigid’s College, Loughrea took gold.

Pictured above are gold medal winners Eva Ruane, Emma O’Donovan, Bethany Clancy, Clodagh Breheny and Orla Greene. The junior girls have qualified for the Irish Schools Cross-Country Championships to be held in Mallusk, County Antrim, in March.
